Life is a journey. One fine day this journey will come to an end. Death will come knocking at the door. It is an universal truth. We know the nature of death. Death comes uninvited. We do not even carry the body along with us. Body is left behind. We have to leave without any baggage.Don’t you think while alive we should travel light? Lesser baggage means the journey is happier and better.
We carry so much burden along with us. We have burden of past and future. Lets see the burden of the past. We relive the old pain and burden ourselves with regrets, blame, agony and frustrations. Some people get used to of old pain. Recalling old stories may make a person very alive or maybe satisfied. Holding on to the old events, situations and incidents leads to suffering. There is no need to be condoning and justifying the past. Letting go of the past is really useful. You need to let go to get control of the present.
We make the old pain alive by singing the same old broken record again and again. It is hurting oneself again and again. Past keeps you chained and entrapped. It keeps you engaged and caged in your thought kingdom. You need to carry only the essential baggage with you. You need to acknowledge that you are crippled and not ready to change. Is it possible to fly with such a heavy mind?
Stay light and you should be able to fly like a bird. You can then manage responsibility of oneself and others too. You should be able to pack the problem into a small cotton ball.
You need to be responsible so that you need not play like a victim. Victim always become perpetrators. Try to understand the cycle and your role in that bad cycle. Once you understand then you would not get into the cycle. Get away from the past and break out from it.
Forgive yourself and thereby you shall forget. Instead of asking useless questions you should replace with useful questions. So, change the question to understand the thoughts. Change the understanding of the things. Work on how to step forward. By worrying, we attract negativity. Remain detached when you recall the past.
Letting go of the past is as important as breathing or having food. It’s through meditation that you allow yourself to move out of the story. Meditation helps you to not commit to the same mistake again and again. Acknowledgement and stepping out of the pain is important. Stay committed and be aware. Be responsible to the time wasted in thinking of the past. By creating an useful time, the past automatically falls off.
Keep yourself light and feel light. You would be able to make others light too. Letting go would give you power and control. Listen and read positive things. Let go of criticism. Open the tap of knowledge and empower yourself to forgive. Leave all behind. Trust yourself and the higher power. Focus on here and now.
